A Safe at Home Application Assistant plays a vital role in the Safe at Home process. They are in essence the gateway to the Safe at Home program. The duty of the application assistant is to assist a victim in determining whether Safe at Home will be a good safety strategy and to help with the Safe at Home Application. The application assistant helps with the assessment and the application paperwork.
Once a person is enrolled in Safe at Home, the role of the application assistant ceases. All Safe at Home questions and concerns a Safe at Home participant has must be directed to the Safe at Home office. Only the Safe at Home office can assist a participant with program concerns, such as difficulties using their assigned Safe at Home address.
