Registered Voter List Requests

Information on registered Minnesota voters, including their contact information and voting history, is available  for a fee. The data is available in a variety of formats, as detailed below on this page.

Note: This information is only available to registered Minnesota voters, and may only be used for purposes related to elections, political activities, or law enforcement. (Minnesota Statutes 201.091)

For the November 8, 2022 State General Election, counties must enter voting history from rosters by 12/20/22. Election day registrations must also be completed by 12/20/22 unless they have notified this office, after which they have until 1/17/23. See County Entry of Voting History for a list of county compliance.

Placing an order

Use the Voter Information Request Form to place an order. Return the form and payment in-person or by mail to: Office of the Secretary of State, Voter Registration Lists, First National Bank Building, 332 Minnesota Street, Suite N201, Saint Paul, MN 55101.

Cost & Payment

Reports covering the whole state are $46. Reports covering any area within the state are $30.

You may pay with check, money order, or cash (in-person only--do not send cash in the mail). Credit card payment is not accepted at this time.

Delivery

To better serve Minnesotans, the Office of the Secretary of State is transitioning from providing this information on CD-ROM to an online delivery system that is faster, simpler, and less expensive for our residents. In the new system, an email will be sent with a link to the requested voter data after the order is processed. This link will be active for seven days. CD-ROMs will no longer be available after July 10, 2020.

Report Formats

Reports come in pdf and text formats.

Choose pdf format if you:

  • just want to print the report as-is
  • do not want to edit, filter, or sort the report
  • do not know how to use spreadsheet or database software (such as MS Excel or MS Access)

Choose text format if you:

  • want to edit, filter, or sort the report
  • want to use the data in multiple ways (for example, mail merge and mailing labels)
  • want detailed voting history information
  • want statewide data
  • know how to use spreadsheet or database software (such as MS Excel or MS Access) This office does NOT offer support for using this data with specific software applications.

Reports are current as of the time they are run. After general elections, counties may need extra time to enter all election day registrations and voting history.
