SAINT PAUL — With four weeks to go before the November 5 Election, the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State has launched a new ad promoting the Here We Vote campaign. The ad is a part of the voter outreach and education effort challenging Minnesotans to reclaim their #1 spot in voter turnout in the nation for the 2024 general election. It will be aired on television stations across the state, on various digital platforms, and on YouTube. An audio version of the ad will be aired on radio stations throughout Minnesota.
“It’s incredibly important that every eligible Minnesotan knows they can exercise their right to vote by mail, early in-person, or in-person on Election Day,” said Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon. “We hope our campaign is a reminder to everyone to make their plan to vote on or before November 5.”
To be eligible to vote in Minnesota, a person must be at least 18 by Election Day, a U.S. Citizen, a resident of Minnesota for at least 20 days, not currently incarcerated for a felony conviction, and not under a court order that revokes their right to vote. In 2023, more than 55,000 Minnesotans who have left prison behind regained their right to vote.
Here We Vote directs Minnesotans to mnvotes.gov, the one-stop shop for election information. On mnvotes.gov, people can register to vote, check their voter registration status, view a sample ballot, request a ballot by mail, track their ballot, and find their local polling place. Election information is available on mnvotes.gov in English, Spanish, Hmong, Somali, Vietnamese, Russian, Chinese, Lao, Oromo, Khmer, and Amharic.
As a part of the campaign, the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State has created a Here We Vote digital toolkit to promote key dates for the November 5 General Election.
Minnesotans may also see Here We Vote messages on social media and on Metro Transit buses and light rail trains.
