• Secretary of State Steve Simon is highlighting key 2016 election dates in Minnesota and encouraging all citizens, regardless of political affiliation, to get involved, stay informed and, most importantly, VOTE. Read more here

• The Governor has called a special election to fill a vacancy in Senate District 35 (parts of Anoka County). The special primary will be held on January 12, 2016, primary results will be available after polls close at 8 p.m. The special election will be held on February 9, 2016. • At Voting Rights Act ceremony, Secretary Simon urges Minnesotans to 'stay restless' in their pursuit of voting rights for all Americans. Read more.

• Secretary Simon has dedicated the 2015-2016 Legislative Manual, also known as the “Blue Book,” in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and the Minnesotans who made it a reality. The new Blue Book, as well as the 2015-2016 Pocket Edition, is now available online and at office locations for pick-up.
