State House District 19A will have a Special Primary Election on Tuesday, January 29
- No Special Primary Election for House District 14A

St. Paul, Minn.—January 17, 2013—Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie today announced that in House District 19A for Democratic Farmer Labor candidates there will be a special primary election on Tuesday, January 29, 2013.  There will be no special primary election in House District 14A, because only one candidate from each of the major political parties has filed to run for that seat.

The House District 19A candidates that will be on the special primary election ballot on January 29 are: Timothy Strand (Democratic-Farmer-Labor), Karl Johnson (Democratic-Farmer-Labor), Robin Courrier (Democratic-Farmer-Labor) and Clark P. Johnson (Democratic-Farmer-Labor), Allen Quist (Republican) and Tim Gieseke (Independence). 

“It important for voters in House District 19A to go to the polls for this primary election to express their choice for who they want on the special election ballot on February 12,” said Secretary Ritchie.
