Uniform Commercial Code (UCC)

This office serves as Minnesota's central fililng system for lien information related to the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). The UCC central filing system is comprised of satellite offices located in many of the county recorders’ offices.

Statutory liens are created and/or established by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 514.  

Requirements related to financing statements are found in Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 336, Article 9.
