Effective July 1, 2013, all UCC forms will change. However, the new forms will not be accepted until July 1, 2013. A 30-day grace period will be allowed through July 31, 2013, for accepting the current and new UCC forms. Beginning August 1, 2013, only the new forms will be accepted and all other forms will be rejected. The new UCC forms will be available on our website no later than July 1, 2013.
This office serves as Minnesota's central filing system for lien information related to the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). The UCC central filing system is comprised of satellite offices located in many of the county recorders’ offices.
Statutory liens are created and/or established by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 514.
Requirements related to financing statements are found in Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 336, Article 9.
