Voting Systems Review The Post Election Review of Voting Systems is mandated for the election for president or governor; United States Senator and United States Representative after each state general election beginning in 2006. The review is a comparison of a hand tally of the ballots for each eligible election in the precinct with the reported results as per the county canvassing board report and actual Election Day materials.
Individual precincts for review are selected by each county at its canvass of the state general election. To see which precincts are chosen for review in the 2006 voting systems review, see the Voting System Review Table after November 9, 2006.
For additional information, please review the Post Election Voting Systems Review FAQ.
Performance ReviewThe post election performance review examines the activities and materials used in the polling place on Election Day (Minnesota Statutes, section 206.89, Subd. 3).
The precincts participating in the performance review are chosen by lot by the State Canvassing Board at its November 21, 2006 meeting to canvass the state general election. At least 4 precincts will be chosen in each of Minnesota's 8 congressional districts (at least 32 precincts overall).
To see which precincts will be involved in the 2006 performance review, please see the Performance Review Table on or after November 21, 2006.
To view the results of the review, please see the 2006 Performance Review Final Report.
