Minnesota is looking for bright, responsible, innovative leaders in our communities who are eager to serve on state councils, boards, task forces and commissions. The Office of the Secretary of State strongly encourages Minnesotans to apply through its open appointments process.

The Secretary of State acts as an administrator in publishing vacancies, receiving applications and recording appointments. Applications are reviewed and appointments made by the appointing authorities; questions about specific vacancies and appointments should be directed to the appointing authority.
