Help America Vote Act (HAVA) provides funding for counties to purchase assistive voting technology to be available for use in the 2006 Election year.

County Auditors submit plans to the Secretary of State's office for review and comment. These plans describe the equipment to be purchased, how equipment will be deployed and provide clarification of fiscal and operational responsibility.

Once the plan is approved by the County Board of Commissioners, counties submit grant proposals to implement their plans.
