Senate District 26 Special Election

Senate District 26 Special Election Results Results will be available after the polls close at 8 p.m. and are unofficial until certified by the State Canvassing Board.

State Canvassing Board, February 1, 2010; 3:00 p.m., State Office Building, Room 10.

Special Election Scheduled. The governor has issued a Writ of Special Election to fill a vacancy in Senate District 26. Senator Dick Day announced that his resignation will be effective January 8, 2010. Senate District 26 encompasses all of Steele county and includes parts of Waseca and Rice counties.
